5th Graders learn about Internet Safety

Internet Safety for students is a topic getting more and more attention, as younger children are utilizing Social Media apps and surfing the web.  This week the 5th graders were engaged in a discussion about Internet Safety, and viewed a video The Safe Side created by John Walsh.  Hot tips shared in the video include
  • Always ask an adult before getting on the Internet
  • Never give out your personal information online.
  • If you see something that makes you feel uncomfortable, don't share it and do tell an adult.
  • If someone says something hurtful about you online, do not respond.
  • Never agree to meet someone in person that you meet online.
